I have a few thoughts about this “donations” page I would like to share. Initially, it is the prayer of Brooke and myself (also our belief) that people would “partner” with us who God has spoken to; to do so. This is of such importance because that “direction of the Holy Spirit” is what will sustain through the hard times. If you give to anything out of emotion, it will always wane. Ultimately God is our only source! He is Jehovah Jireh! Practically He uses people, ravens, an Angel of the Lord, etc…..BUT all these originate with Him! He remains faithful, even when we aren’t because He cannot deny Himself (II Timothy 2:13). If you have any questions concerning what you’ve just read, please feel free to contact me and ask any questions. The “rabbit hole” goes much deeper!
My second thought is the issue of biblical partnership. The essence of this comes from I Samuel chapter 30. This is the story of David and his might men making a conquest, coming back with the “booty” and the men who went on the conquest said that the ones who stayed behind should not partake of the goods. Here was David’s answer, “My brothers, you will not hold back what the Lord has given us. It was Him who kept us safe and delivered our enemy into our hand. (God’s gets all the glory) Then David said….”The reward that goes to the person that went will be the same as the reward to the person who stayed back, they will share alike.”
Each person is important, the one who goes and the one who sends. The work that is done through us for the Kingdom of God is also credited to the one who gives their time in prayer and gives the hard earned $$ to help us go. You may never physically step foot in Thailand, Burma, Pakistan, or wherever the Lord takes us, but you certainly will go to those places through your “partnership” with us.
My third thought is about when you click the “donate” button, you will be taken to a PayPal page, and you don’t have to use PayPal to give. If you look at the bottom left side of that page it explains that you can give by credit or debit card. READ THIS: IF YOU USE YOUR CREDIT CARD, THEN IT BETTER BE A CARD THAT YOU PAY OFF MONTHLY!! I put this in CAPS for a reason! If you don’t have your finances under control that you have to “charge” your tithe, or an offering….then you have no business giving! (You should tithe FIRST; a “gift” falls under another category.) I mean that from the bottom of my heart, with all the love I can muster! :) If you are in this position; I will be more than happy to help you get on a workable budget (one that you can stick to), so that you may become a faithful steward of what God has entrusted you with; in EVERY area of your life! Be “blessed” with those words of encouragement!
Thank You and God Bless!
