• Havin' fun on a rainy day!

I’m certainly not much of a singer, but Maddy and I certainly can play hard in the rain. :) Grace wasn’t real enthusiatic about the idea of playing in the rain, she was content with watching from the porch. :)

  • This motorbike you see is one like many that are prevelant in Thailand.  It’s amazing how many people and things that can fit on one of these! :)  Anyhow a friend has let me borrow this bike.  NO the kids do not ride with me, just me solo.

Well, the other day the ignition switch was stuck, so I called my friend and he came on his little motorbike to check it out.  Since we could not get it started, he “schooled” me on the way to tow a motorbike with another motorbike….you hold on to the arm of the person on the good bike and they pull you.  He said this is a common practice in Italy (where He is from) and maybe it is, but I was a first timer and I thought it was a very interesting idea. :)  We did make it home just fine, and my arm was a little tired, to say the least. :)  Just a little tid-bit into life in Thailand, I know there will be more to come.

PS.  This morning I went early to get the paper work so I can get a driver’s license, and I was all “gung-ho” to beat the crowds………..well apparently I beat everyone because no one was there………..today (May 8th) was a national holiday, and the office was closed. :)  How fun is that!

  • We are so blessed to be able to chat with our parents and friends via Skype - just amazing and its FREE!  It sure makes being so far away just a little bit easier!
