Well, it is Monday morning here in Chiang Mai, and I slept in till 4:30 am this morning! :) That may sound crazy, but as we are adjusting to the time change, it is a great milestone! All of us are doing well. The first few days being here were rough b/c of some sickness and just the natural acclimation process. Our house wasn’t ready as planned either, so that was another “chink” in the chain. BUT we by His grace we overcome and are doing awesome! I have limited internet access right now, so I’ll post some pics when I have more time. Later,

Well, today is Saturday March 14th, and our departure is oh so close! We go to Minneapolis tomorrow, and then fly out Monday morning. We don’t get into Chiang Mai until midnight on Tuesday night Thailand time. That would be noon CST. Anyhow, we are ready to roll and excited! Keep us in your prayers for divine intervention for all of our travels and a real grace to be upon the whole family as we acclimate to everything new. As you can see I’ve put this map of Thailand here to see what city we’ll be living in. Chiang Mai is obviuosly the “dot” towards the top. Chiang Mai is a big city, maybe a million people? I’m not really sure how many, but I know it’s big and it keeps growing. It’s a really good place to live and we are looking forward to it. That’s all for now, talk to ya later,

I have the most amazing wife in the whole world. I know most husbands would say that about their wives, b/c we are all biased….BUT I really mean it! Brooke is an awesome mother and wife, more than I ever knew she was when we were married over 7 years ago. I never thought we’d be where we are now at this point in our lives, especially that we have 3 kids! Of course no one knows what really will be happening 7 years into their marriage, and of course I wanted kids, but I didn’t know it’d be in this timing. Anyhow, it’s just awesome to see how God is working things out, and how He keeps our marriage growing stronger.
Later,
Rick
