    Gracie's 2nd Birthday

    Gracie's new bike!

It was a lot of fun to celebrate Grace’s 2nd Birthday on April 9th.  She’s 2 going on 20!  Everything Maddy does, she wants to do….and every once in a while she’ll ask for help. :)  We bought a cake from DQ and I don’t think we’ll do that again.  It looks much better than it tastes. (not enough chocolate :)

For all of you parents out there; you understand there are those moments in time when you see your child growing up right before your eyes. Whether it’s the next size in clothing, or their vocabulary, or as in this video when they begin to ride a bike with ease, you know they’re growing up. I’m still working on how to freeze them in time at the age I want so they can’t grow anymore, but I’ve not yet succeeded in that. :) Anyhow, everyone who has older children tells you that your day is coming when they will be “all-growed up”, and sometimes it seems like everyday it happens, but I guess it really does??

    Rick & Brooke
    Rick & Brooke

I have the most amazing wife in the whole world.  I know most husbands would say that about their wives, b/c we are all biased….BUT I really mean it!  Brooke is an awesome mother and wife, more than I ever knew she was when we were married over 7 years ago.  I never thought we’d be where we are now at this point in our lives, especially that we have 3 kids!  Of course no one knows what really will be happening 7 years into their marriage, and of course I wanted kids, but I didn’t know it’d be in this timing.  Anyhow, it’s just awesome to see how God is working things out, and how He keeps our marriage growing stronger.

Early Sunday morning, November 2nd,  at 12:22 am Ezekiel James Plummer came into this world, and not without a lot of work from Momma!  God Bless all the women that go through child birth…..I just continue thanking God I was born a man!  No offense, of course, I just don’t think I could handle it!  I’ve had the privelege of being a part of all 3 of my children’s births, and it’s been amazing every time.  The miracle of life is phenominal!  Even the nurse said that as much as she works in the maternity ward, she is still amazed by the miracle of life…God truly is awesome, and we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”  It’s just now begining to set in that I have 3 kids!  Yep, THREE!

If you’re not familiar with the name “Ezekiel”….he was a major old testament prophet.  His name means “God is strong.”  By leading of the Lord, this is our sons name, and we’ll see as time passes how right on the name fits.?

So now momma and baby are doing good, and with this milestone behind us, it’s time to focus on the next big step God has for us:  back to “Destination Thailand.”  Keep checking back periodically for more blogs and updates on this journey!

    God Bless,

    Rick
